This Symposium, which arouses already a very great interest, will join together about thirty historians, specialists in the Napoleonean period, coming from 10 different countries. According to the current list of the participants, one can already say that this Symposium will by far the biggest event of this kind in Europe, for the bicentenary of the 1809 Campaign. The actual state of research about this important event will be presented there, in conferences offered to the public in German, English and French (simultaneous translation).
A guided tour of the battlefields of Essling/Aspern and Wagram will close this Symposium.
